What is the refund policy?
A 24 hours notice is required if a student is unable to attend a scheduled course to receive a refund (the total amount minus a $100 deposit).
A 24 hours notice is required if a student is unable to attend a drive time or a $65 cancellation fee will be assessed. This fee must be paid before the next scheduled drive in order to continue the behind-the-wheel training.
If your check is returned due to non-sufficient funds (NSF), a $45 fee will apply.
Is there a cancellation fee for missed drives?
If a drive is cancelled by customer within 24 hours of start time there is a $65 cancellation fee. If student is sick this fee may be waived by managment.
What are Precision's office hours?
Office hours TUESDAY and THURSDAY (10:00am-4:00pm) or by appointment. There are times our facility will be open outside of office hours for when class/training sessions are being held. During those times our non-office staff can get your information and provide it to PDA's office staff:)
Do you pick up students from home and school for drives?
Yes. We pick up from home within 10 miles of Precision. We do offer mutual pick up locations as well. We will pick up students from their school for any 3pm drives on school days unless directed otherwise by parent/guardian. Please note on a student's final drive (#4) a parent will be required to meet our drive instructor @Precision to sign off on required paperwork.
Can I get another copy of my certificate of completion?
Yes, we can provide you with a copy of your certificate for a fee of $36. (Please note you were provided with a copy at no charge once your original services were completed.) Only copies of certificates for your insurance may be emailed, you will need an original copy with our school seal and owner's signature to bring to the DMV.
Do I have to pay a deposit for services?
Yes, we require a $100 deposit for any services $85 or higher. This may be paid online, check via mail, or cash/check in person during our business hours.
Does your driving school offer any discounts?
Yes, we offer the following discounts for students taking our 38- or 43-Hour Driver Education Programs:
A $20 maximum discount allowed per student.
What are the state requirements for drivers ed?
How old do I need to be to take drivers ed?
Students may enroll at age 14 and 9 months; however, they will not be able to drive until age 15.
What is a Temporary Instructional Permit (TIP) and how do I get one?
All students enrolled in driver education must present a TIP to our driving school. You can obtain your TIP and the OMV. You must be 14 years old to obtain a TIP. The cost of the TIP will be the cost of a regular license; however, no additional fee will be assessed when the student completes driver's education and returns to the office to obtain a learner's permit. Upon successful completion of driver's education, the TIP must be surrendered to OMV along with proof of successful completion of the appropriate driver's education course and any other necessary documents.
